It is well known that Ram Charan Teja is all set to make his maiden debut in Bollywood this year with the remake of yesteryear’s classic ‘Zanjeer’.
It is confirmed that the film will have its launch in April. Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia who made films like ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ is set to direct the Amitabh Bachchan starrer.
“My film starts from April 20 so I am going to start working on it, it is the remake of ‘Zanjeer’ and next week I am going to shoot for an ad in Thailand,” Lakhia told on the sidelines of the semi-finals of Celebrity Cricket League.
Charan will step into the shoes of Amitabh for the remake. The 1973 classic also starred Jaya Bhaduri and Pran.
This film not only catapulted Amitabh to fame, it also gave him the title of “angry young man.’ The same film was made in Telugu with NT Rama Rao in the lead — ‘Nippulanti Manishi’.
