Shruti Haasan, the hot and beautiful daughter of Kamal Haasan was the original choice for the film Dammu starring young tiger Junior NTR. However, she backed out after being part of it for a while.
Shruti had shot for the movie for 10 days, but NTR had to stop Dammu to complete the recently released Oosaravelli. This put her in a fix as her dates for the movie were wasted. And as an emerging heroine who is one of the busiest in the south, she had to honour her other commitments too. Shruti decided to walk out of the project to avoid any hassles.
Shruti Haasan, blamed her packed tri-lingual schedule for missing out on Young Tiger NTR’s Dammu. She said she heard reports of how the film was shaping up and on more than one occasion, regretted missing out on such a plum opportunity.
"Yes, I’m disappointed backing out of NTR’s Dammu project due to unavailability of dates. I know that I missed out big time but hoping to do another film with him shortly," said Shruti Hassan.
The pretty girl reportedly stated that from now on, she would prioritise her dates rightly. She is currently busy with the shooting of her film Gabbar Singh.
