It's bad news for Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh fans. Why because the buzz from the industry circles say that Rana's upcoming film is going to get negative feedback due to the heroine. Genelia played the female lead in this film and it was her usual bubbly kind of role.
If the sources are to be believed, Genelia overacted throughout the movie and besides she looked older than Rana in looks. Director Prakash Toleti, who is a protege of Sukumar demanded for Genelia as the heroine as he felt that she is the right choice to be his film's leading lady. However, audiences have been already fed up with her 'mind blowing performance' and are in no mood to watch her again in that retarded kind of roles.
Remember, she had been the biggest drawbacks for Ram Charan's Orange in which she acted like a freak. Audience couldn't stand her presence at any moment in that film. Despite being aware of such reception, Naa ishtam makers chose her as the heroine. Too late to repent, maybe!
