Australian Cricketer Hughes Died In Coma


Australian Cricketer Phillip Hughes who was hit by a bouncer passed away at St.Vincent's Hospital in Sydney. Hughes fought valiantly for two days after being hit by a bouncer and couple of minutes back he was breathing with the assistance of medical technology.

25 year old Hughes was carried off Sydney Cricket Ground on a stretcher after he collapsed while trying to pull a bouncer. Hughes had mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and CPR before admitted in the hospital. He was placed in an induced coma.

Dr.Brukner informed that Hughes passed away as he never gained consciousness after the injury. He said Hughes was not in pain and his family and close friends were by his side. Phil Hughes played 26 tests after making his test debut against South Africa at the age of 20 in 2009 and became the youngest batsman to score two centuries in a test in his second test. Condolences started pouring in from cricket fraternity.

3 Days ahead of his B'day:

After battling for life for two-days, Phillip who suffered an injury on head, succumbed to it on Thursday. What's more heart-wrenching is that Phillip has breathed his last just three days ahead of his 26th birthday. 25-yr-old Phillip was going to turn a year older on November 30. In between, destiny claimed his life in an unexpected way.
