Needless to say how much craze Gabbar Singh has got and how many expectations it has been carrying. Now the film is out in theaters and Pawan Kalyan took the box office by a storm. But is this the film that Pawan fans have been waiting for years? Did Harish Shankar, an ardent fan of Pawan, deliver? Ladies and Gentleman and all the fans... here comes Gabbar Singh review...

What is it about?

Venkata Ratnam Naidu idolizes iconic villain from Sholay film and names himself as Gabbar Singh (Pawan Kalyan). He comes to Kondaveedu village as Circle Inspector and confronts with local goon Siddhappa Naidu, who is an aspiring politician too. The film is about the cat and mouse game between Gabbar and Siddhappa. Gabbar also has a love story in between with Bhagyalakshmi (Shruti Hassan) and there is a sentimental touch to this story in the form of Gabbar's family.

Performances

Pawan Kalyan is like a livewire in this movie. He has been keeping his energy levels down by playing roles that doesn't require it. But Harish Shankar made sure that there won't be any single dull moment for Pawan in this film. Pawan's dialogues and surprisingly his dances will not allow his fans to sit in the seats. His performance in action scenes and comedic episodes is a treat to watch. On the flip side, Pawan is not getting younger anymore. His age is showing on his face and thankfully for his fans the star has realized the need of the hour. He has been doing films at a very quick pace now.

Shruti Hassan doesn't look fit in the village girl role. Although her looks are very pleasing, somehow we get a feeling that she is trying too hard to make her character believable. Not a bad performance, but could do better. Abhimanyu Singh is pretty good and throws challenge to the current ruling villains of Tollywood. Ali and Brahmanandam provided few laughs. Suhasini is alright, Ajay is good and Kota is apt. Gayatri's character went overboard in few scenes. Everyone did justice to their respective roles and directors made sure that all of them have a role to play.

On the Technical Front:

Dialogues written by Harish Shankar are an asset. There are tons of one-liners that have immense repeat value. Every dialog of Pawan gets a thumping response. Devi Sri Prasad's songs were super hit prior to the release. Every song has been shot well. Pilla, Dil Se and Gabbar Singh songs stands out. Background score is superb. It elevated the scenes as well as heroism in many scenes. Cinematography is fine. Editing is crisp. Production values are good.

Director Harish Shankar made ample changes to Dabangg script. Few characterizations and screenplay has been changed to suit Telugu audience taste. Harish made good use of Pawan Kalyan's energy and conceived trademark scenes for him. There are few thoroughly enjoyable and immensely funny scenes that work big time. Harish Shankar's racy screenplay will keep the audiences entertained all the time. He took a great responsibility of directing a big star like Pawan with a familiar story and he came up with a winner. Well done Harish!

Analysis:

Dabangg itself is a very ordinary story with all the cliches of an Indian cinema thrown into it. Most of the stars won't dare to remake it, but Pawan Kalyan believed in Harish Shankar and gave the responsibility to him. He came off in flying colors in making an ordinary story into a solid entertainer.

First half of Gabbar Singh is racy. Time will literally fly off during this hour. Second half too opens on an entertaining note and runs at a good pace until Kevvu Keka song. There will be a little speed breaker at that point as sentiment takes the driving seat. Finale scene will be liked by the masses for its heavy action part. Barring few minutes during the pre climax, Gabbar Singh is a full too entertainer.

Fans will watch it multiple times for brand Pawan Kalyan and regular audiences will love the entertainment. Gabbar Singh offers something for every section of audiences and that is its biggest strength. It will be a sure shot hit and we will have to wait for few more days to estimate the range of it.

Verdict:  Gabbar Singh - Power star is back and with a bang!
After so many days we feel proud to give 4/5 rating to gabbarsingh

Racha Movie Review

Movie : Racha
Cine-gossips Rating: 3.5/5
Cast : Ram Charan, Tamanna, Mukesh Rushi, Ajmal, Brahmanandam, Ali and others
Directed by : Sampath Nandi
Produced by : Paras Jain, NV Prasa
Banner : Mega Supergood Films
Music : Mani Sharma
Release Date : 2012-04-05

Mega Power Star Ram Charan has done only one film after mighty Magadheera. That was Orange, which didn't go well with the mass audience as they expected a mass masala treat from the star. Now Charan offered them what they wanted with Racha. This film is an out and out paisa vasool commercial entertainer from Ram Charan. This is the first film in which Charan has done a complete mass character. Did he live up to the fans expectations as a mass hero? Is Racha good enough to earn him another hit?

What is it about?

Betting Raj (Ram Charan), who makes a living out of betting, takes up the biggest challenge of his life to save his dying father. As per the bet he will have to make Chaitra (Tamanna), a medico to fall in his love within thirty days. Chaitra's father Ballari (Mukesh Rushi) will be the biggest threat to Raj in doing so. Will Raj win the bet? What will Ballari do? Is there any other angle to this story? All these questions will be answered in the second half of the film.

Performances:

Ram Charan has done a terrific job as the lead man in Racha. Although this character has over the top dialogues and excessive build up, Ram Charan did it as if it was a cake walk for him. He is a bundle of energy and inherited the confidence of his father. He has immense confidence in himself and fantastic screen presence. Director utilized it to the maximum and the output was awesome. Charan fans will be completely impressed with his 'show'. His dances and fights are a treat to watch. Charan can deliver many blockbusters if the directors make use of his capabilities.

Tamanna did well as an actress. She added the glamour factor to the movie and that will draw repeat audiences for sure. Watch out for her sizzling dance moves in the song Vaana vaana. Mukesh Rushi is fine as the villain. Partheepan is good in a small role. Ajmal delivered a neat performance. Brahmanandam provided the comic relief and Ali was hilarious in his brief role.

On the Technical Front:

Mani Sharma's music is good. He scored mass frenzy tunes as per the requirement of the script. Songs are well shot too. Dillaku Dilla and Vaana Vaana are striking on screen. Background score is an asset to Racha. Mani Sharma's experience came in handy for the director. Sameer Reddy's cinematography is very good. The climax sequence is well shot. Editing by Gowtam Raju is right on the mark.

Paruchuri Brothers excelled as dialogue writers after a long time. Despite writing few outdated dialogues, they have done a decent job in making this film a mass masala fare. Director Sampath Nandi surprises one and all with his efforts. He has it in him to handle a big film and a big star. Making the audience involved into the film without boring them with a routine formulaic script itself is a success for the director.

Analysis:

Racha is a film made for the mass audience. The director and the writers never tried to be street smart or creative at any instance. They have set their target and aimed at it without any diversions. Did they hit the target? They have almost hit the bull's eye! Making a commercial formulaic film is the biggest challenge these days.

Why because it will be hard to please the audience of this age with routine stuff. But when you get your basics and formula right, it is not a big deal. The writers and director have succeeded in getting the little things and right and they have created a big impact on screen.

Racha is not for intelligent audience who yearns for variety and freshness. It is a film made for mass audience and they will be pleased with the film. Racha has its weaknesses and strengths. We have to see if this is enough to shake the box office this summer.

Odds are in favor of Racha and the initial talk from the B and C centers is encouraging. Let's see if this positive buzz converts into record breaking collections and ends the drought period of Mega heroes that has been haunting them post Magadheera.

Mass and action film lovers could happily visit Racha theaters. And other so called class audience can wait until they find their Oasis in Tollywood desert.

Verdict: Racha is a paisa vasool mass entertainer. and Must Watchable Film For The Mega Fans..

Allu Arjun Liplock With Illiana

Tollywood's serial kisser Allu Arjun is back to his usual self. Putting an end to the reports that Bunny will stay away from lip-lock after marriage, he shot a few love making scenes for his upcoming film.

Allu Arjun's upcoming film under the director of Trivikram Srinivas is going to have few lip-kiss sequences. These scene were so intense that Bunny ended up biting the lips of his co-star Ileana.

"Though Allu Arjun hesitated to do the scene, Trivikram convinced him that it's part of the script. The passionate love making scenes, which comes at a crucial point in the film, were shot aesthetically," said a source close to the unit.

Allu Arjun is working round the clock for this film which is touted to be a romantic entertainer. Both Bunny and Trivikram were making sure that no stone unturned to ensure the success of their film. Hope their hard work pays off!!!

Don't Do Over Action: Hero Fans To Kajal

Sexy Kajal Agarwal is known for throwing starry tantrums to create a buzz for herself in the tinsel town. After making harsh comments about South movies earlier, the sizzling starlet is now insulting southern languages.

Industry is abuzz with the talk that Kajal Agarwal is learning Russian language during a shooting there. This is happening as she is in Moscow for filming of a hot song with Surya for their upcoming big budgeted movie 'Maatran'. Kajal's excited statements about learning Russian has thrown her into a tight spot. Even after acting in dozens of Telugu and Tamil movies, the buxom beauty is still unable to utter few words in these langagues and this is sending feelers to fans about her extras. 'She is earning lakhs of Rupees in these film circuits and still talks low about our movies', a fan said.

They say she must learn from the likes of Tamanna and Anushka who look more gorgeous on-screen and obedient on stages. Both these sexy starlets always try and do talk in local languages during public events expressing their courtesy!

Naresh Gang Vs Prabhas Gang For MS

Strong grapevine is that both the gangs of these two star heroes are fighting hard in making movies. Especially a 'Multi Starrer' is about to come from these stars and hence this tussle.

Interesting both Allari Naresh and Prabhas wants to remake the same hindi movie into Telugu by altering the content a little. Super hit movie 'Zindagi Na Milega Dobara' is the run after flick by these gangs. Naresh wants to do that with himself, Nani and Tanish in the leads, while Prabhas is eyeing it for Allu Arjun, Manoj and him.

Till now, rights of the move are not bought by any Telugu production house and the makers are in talks with their Hindi counterparts to bag them. 'I'm having a strong desire to act in multi-starrers and this is what our gang discusses when we meet for a casual tea', Allari Naresh revealed. On the flip side, cine observers are saying that ZNMD will not work with the Telugu audiences for its sheer touch of western nativity and twisty screenplay. Watch this space for more interesting updates.

Nuvva Nena Movie Review

Cine-Gossips Rating: 2.25/5
Cast : Allari Naresh, Sharwanand, Shriya, Brahmanandam, Ali, Kovai Sarala, Vimala Raman, Raja and others
Directed by : Narayana
Produced by : Vamsi Krishna Sriniv
Banner : S.V.K. Banner
Music : Bheems
Release Date : 2012-03-16
Allari Naresh is one of the very few heroes that are consistent at the box office. More than fifty percent of Naresh's movies do well and that is not a mean feat for a hero who does more films than anybody from the current crop. His latest movie is Nuvva Nena in which he teamed up with his buddy Sharwanand, who earlier was his partner in the film Gamyam. However this film is not message oriented film like Gamyam. In fact it is complete contrast to it in every way. Here is the review...

Story:

Avinash (Allari Naresh) is a petty thief who falls head over heels for a beautiful psychiatrist Doctor Nandini (Shriya). Anand (Sharwanand) is a patient of hers, who also fall in love with her. Avinash and Anand start to fight for Nandini and who wins her love finally is what this film is about.

Performances:

Allari Naresh has done complicated and complex characters in the past and such a single dimensional role should be a cake walk for him. He simply sleep walked through the film at ease. Despite being successful and far bigger star than Sharwanand in terms of box office, Naresh accepted to play the second fiddle in this film. Naresh has to be lauded for accepting this role as he realized that it gives him scope to do some comedy.

Naresh could have demanded for an extra song and fight if he wanted, but didn't bother about Sharwanand's extra song and fight scene. Sharwanand too has put up a confident show. He is completely natural in his role. Shriya is as hot as ever and is in perfect shape to make her role believable. She is sizzling hot in the song sequences.

Bramhanandam is fine in a routine character. His dances for Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi and Kilimanjaro received huge applause. Kovai Sarala is loud. Ali is just okay. Raja who was recently seen in Mr. Nookayya has done a guest role in this movie. Rest of the star cast is okay in their respective roles.

On the Technical Front:

We can't expect great technical values from a low budget comedy film. Technically the film is fine up to its standards. Barring cinematography and editing the film is below average in the other departments. Music is pretty bad. None of the songs are worth enough to hear at least once. Bheems is the music composer and he failed big time. Mani Sharma provided the background score and it is plain ordinary. Writing is cliched. Dialogues are too weak to lift the spirits of this comedy film. Director Narayana's output raises doubts over his directorial skills. He failed to impress with his poor handling of the scenes.

Analysis:

Nuvva Nena is a remake of Bollywood romantic comedy Deewana Mastana, which was released fifteen years ago. So practically the director has chosen a fifteen year old story to entertain the 2012 audience. When the story is that old, at least the treatment should be contemporary and match the tastes of current audience. But the director failed to make the comedy work in spite of having superb comedy actors like Naresh, Brahmanandam and Ali on his hand.

There are few spoofs in the first half that tickles the funny bone, but the second half is a complete let down. Unimaginative direction, poor conceiving of scenes and bad dialogues made this comedy an avoidable fare. Nuvva Nena falls short of expectations due to boring comedy and horrible music. Only saving grace are the lead actors and of course Brahmanandam.

Allari Naresh is surely a bankable hero, but the director has to provide at least an average fare for him to take it to the success mark. Sadly, Narayana didn't have enough in him to deliver at least an average comedy. So Allari Naresh and co couldn't do much to save this ship from sinking. Watch it at your own risk.

In one word: Nuvva Nena fails!

Sexy actress Stripteasing Bollywood

Riya Sen, actress and the beautiful daughter of yesteryear star Moon Moon Sen, is stripteasing bollywood. Speaking at the release of Neeta Shah’s ‘Bollywood Striptease’ Riya says “This book has everything and I think what she has written is true. My journey has been very different because I am not so ambitious. But yes, I have been offered, I have gone through a lot of experiences, directly and indirectly,” and she added “It depends on individual to individual, it’s what you choose. I have made my own decisions and I am happy with them,”.
Riya who experienced trouble after getting involved in MMS chain, recollecting her experiences says “I have read my own interviews where people have quoted me when I have not even spoken to that journalist. I don’t sit and cry or howl or say I am running away from India or world. I still get my work, my money, I still have the same lifestyle, my friends and same producers, directors call me. So it (rumours) doesn’t affect me,”

Racha Music Review

1.Racha
Singers : Deepu & Chorus
Lyrics : Chandrabose
Prelude with builds the right tempo for this title song.
Chandrabose is as usual with his wordplay.
He uses words like gigastar, yugastar, googlestar, globalstar etc to describe hero’s image.
Song has ample beats for charan to exhibit his dancing talents.
Lines like jeevame maa naannichadu, jeevitam adi meerichadu, gelevadam tanu naake nerpadu can entertain hardcore fans.
2.Vaana Vaana (Remix)
Singers : Rahul Nambiar, Chaitra
Lyrics : Bhuvanachandra
Much awaited song in this album as this is the remix version of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s superhit song from Gang Leader(1991).
Charan has already performed for one of chiru’s old hit song in Magadheera and this is his second such attempt.
Mani Sharma gives this version more tempo and if you liked the original composed by Bappi Lahiri, you might be disappointed with this one.
Though the veena bit interlude sounds fresh, and gives scope for dance movements, vocals and extra chorus take away the feel of original song.
3.Dillaku Dillaku
Singers : Tippu, Geetha Madhuri
Lyrics : Chinni Charan
This is a foot tapping number from Mani Sharma.
Chinni Charan attempts to write mass lyrics with words like Konidela vaari koduka.. and also attempts trendy words like tuna chepa pilla.
This song also gives ample scope for the lead pair to show their dancing talents.
4.Oka Paadam
Singers : Hemachandra, Malavika
Lyrics : Chandrabose
Mani Sharma starts this song with a retro feel.
Mouth organ used in prelude gives you feel of 70s and 80s disco songs.
This song is a mixture of melody tune and racy orchestra.
Singers hemachandra and malavika show variations in vocals and chandrabose’s lyrics make this a repeat listening song from this album.
If it is backed by good visuals, this will go onto become one of the popular songs of recent times.
5.Singareni Undhi
Singers : Sukhwinder Singh, Sahiti
Lyrics : Suddala Ashok Teja
One more run of the mill ordinary composition from Mani Sharma and ordinary lyric from national award winner Suddala Ashok Teja.
Unless well placed in the movie, this will be useless song in this album.
If it is placed towards climax, fast beat takes the movie into right tempo.
Overall a Good album from Mani Sharma and team.

Who Will Win The Race?

Kareena Kapoor was supposed to be playing Mandakini in the sequel of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’. However, now that she has backed out, the filmmakers are finding it very difficult to find a leading lady.
Buzz has it that Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, and Sonakshi Sinha are in the race to play the leading lady in the film.
Who is Mandakini?
Well, she is Bollywood actress who shot to fame after her film Ram Teri Ganga Maili. She was then said to have been involved with Dawood Ibrahim. In OUATIM 2, Akshay Kumar’s has been finalised to play Dawood. Apart from Akki, Imran Khan is also a part of the film
Chances are high for Sonakshi Sinha to win the race as she is not as busy as that of Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, who are relatively busier these days.
Director Milan Luthria said that as of now, he is giving time to the movie’s script and other details and will soon announce the cast.

Ram Charan's injury led to serious complications

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan injury is giving sleepless nights to filmmakers. Of course, there is no nothing to worry on the health front as Charan is recovering well. The trouble is on the film front, particularly about the confusion over the release dates of biggies.

Ram Charan is supposed to wrap the shooting of two songs of Racha in 7-8 days, but the unexpected 'five-inch' muscle tear has spoiled the plans. Doctors have advised Cherry to forget about dancing for about 3 weeks and also warned him of serious complications, if he turn a
deaf-ear to them.

Actually, Racha have been slated to hit the screens by the end of March. But the injury has  ushed the release date further and now even the producers have no idea when their film would be ready for release. This delay is affecting the release of other biggies (Rajamouli's Eega
and NTR's Dammu). The exhibitors all over the state are refusing to make theatre agreements for the Summer biggies as there is no clarity on which comes first. Charan's injury complicated the whole scenario. 'You cannot change your fate. No one can', Right!!!

Sexy Richa Expresses Her Love Indirectly?

With the help of eye-expressions, falling flowers from hair, picking same item in super market…, we generally express love. All these things are good for cinema, but for real life you have to ask ravishingly sexy Bengali beauty Richa Gangopadhyay.

From a couple of days, Richa Gangopadhyay is sharing thoughts with her friends about a special place. The other day, the pretty babe looked excited that she is going to visit that 'special' place again. End of the day, the place is nothing but the one where 'candle light' scene in Sekhar Kammula's 'Leader' was shot. In that scene, RaNa proposes to Richa and the sexy lady gives a nod to him without any second thoughts.

Now, to read between the lines, love-expressing scenes are quite common in movies and why is this place so special for her even after acting in so many films. Critics are saying that she is indirectly expressing the 'love' in her mind to that 'special' person. Well, only Richa can give a better clarity about this, as this is about her 'place' and her 'liking'.

Another heroine gets married!!

The wedding season is on in the cine circuit and recently it was the turn of the bubbly beauty Genelia. Now, another wedding has taken place and this happens to be the big day of the ravishing beauty Reemma Sen. Apparently, this pretty girl stole hearts with her performance in movies like 'Chitram' 'Vennela' etc.

Reports say that Reema has tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Shiv Karan Singh. This happened in Delhi and it is heard that over 2000 guests have attended this grand event. The flavour of the wedding was in typical Punjabi style. This is a love marriage and sources say she met Shiv through a common friend about a year back.

Soon, Reema would be seen in the Hindi movie Gangs Of Wasseypur and recently she was seen in an item song for the Telugu movie 'Veedinthe'. Amidst the flimsy relationships that happen in the cine circuit, this wedding comes across as an inspiring one. Here's wishing Reemma and Shiv a very happy married life.

Reel-Satire On RGV's Real-Life!

Obviously, many people are willing to make a film about this maverick director from a long time, but none have materialized for now. As per sources, now a software engineer is coming up with one such project.

Software engineer turned director, Rakesh Srinivas is coming up with a comedy thriller with the name 'A Syam Gopal Varma Film'. It needs no explanation about whom the flick is targeted. Caption of the movie 'Naa Cinema Naa Ishtam" confirms that it is going to be reel-satire on real Ramgopal Varma.

Sources revealed that the makers are going to explore the love-story angle of Ramu's real life. After a successful marriage for a couple of years, Ramu has divorced his wife to pursue his passion interest, films. Currently, his daughter Revathi stays with him at his Hyderabad home and this film is said to be revolving around Ramu's family and the aftermath of his 'films and tweets'. Generally, it is RGV who mocks and makes fun of everything and everyone, but this time the trigger is pulled against him. Wonder, What Ramu has to say about this!

RaNa Copies 'Dookudu' Idea!!!

Some blockbuster movies always stand like a blue-book and they are followed blindly by our sentiment struck Film Industry. Same is the case with macho hero RaNa who is coming up with a double treat this summer.

Daggubati RaNa, the 6ft 3inch muscular man of Telugu Industry is coming up with two back to back flicks this summer. He is going be seen in romantic comedy 'Na Ishtam' and cop thriller 'Department'. For his romantic comedy, RaNa is said to have copied the idea of 'Dookudu'. Throughout the film Mahesh flatters all of AP's audiences by speaking in different Telugu language modulations. Noticeably, he utters 'West Godavari' accent while comedy talks and 'Telangana' flavor while tackling villains.

Now, RaNa is also doing the same in 'Na Ishtam' to woo fans across the three regions. 'You should adapt to different kinds of characters to convince the audience', says RaNa who is pretty confident about the movie's success. But, there is a sad news for fans as RaNa is not going to flaunt his six-pack body for fans even in this movie!
